Porto Business School and IE Business School organise, this 6th of February, a seminar with Luis Solis - Professor in both institutions - who is going to discuss the challenge of "Managing the Next Generation of Value Creation Networks".
The next generation of value creation networks is a major challenge for managers of the organizations part of such ecosystem. We are already witnessing the first reports of a high failure rate for the transformation from an analogical to digital networks.
While technology is the major enabler and force behind the value networks evolution, updating organizations technical knowledge and skills, it is not the only challenge to overcome for management. Management needs to be aware and asses the company´s organizational readiness for digital transformation by considering other key factors in achieving a successful evolution to the next generation of value creation networks.

Luis Solis has more than 35 years of academic experience and is welcomed as a visiting professor at universities in countries such as USA, Spain, Germany, France, Belgium, Portugal, among many other other countries. For when he teaches his courses in strategic operations management, lean & response service operations, supply chain management, project management and quality management, Prof Solis is drawing upon a vast pool of knowledge and experience gained by working with a wide range of companies in USA, Europe, Middle East and Latin America. “I combine theoretical and empirical research models with my work with top industry executives in the real world,” he says.
