Bernardo Caldas, Data science & AI Leader, is the invited speaker of the seminar: "Making a model tell its secrets: how explainability is transforming AI adoption", an event related to the postgraduate programme in Business Intelligence and Analytics. The event takes place this 5th of December, at 18h30.
The most powerful and accurate ML methods, ranging from GBMs to Deep Learning, are known for their lack of explainability and interpretability. This limits their application in many cases, due to lack of trust and insight. In this session, we will demonstrate how explainable AI (xAI) techniques can help in understanding the reasons behind a model's predictions. We'll also discuss why this matters, both from an ethical and business perspective.
