Biopolis N2020
The project promoted the complementarity between funds from Horizon 2020 and the Programa Operacional Regional do NORTE, contributing to reinforce research, technological development and innovation, promote research in partnership with companies and the valorization of research results, and fostering the transference of scientific and technological knowledge to the business sector.

CityCatalyst
The project aimed to address cities’ challenges in real context, by performing research, development and validation of technological solutions and innovative services. The tasks PBS was involved in aimed to design and implement processes of co-creation and open innovation to promote smart and sustainable competitive cities.

The project aimed to provide new knowledge, information and tools to national SMEs, in order to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This enhanced the implementation of internal / external methodologies and policies within the scope of the 3 P (People, Planet, Profit).

The DigitalAct project (Digital transformation leading to improved performance in SMEs), funded by the Compete2020 programme, aimed to create favourable conditions for the digitalisation of the national business fabric (North and Centre), empowering SMEs with the knowledge and tools necessary for growth, innovation and internationalisation through Digital Transformation.

TechNorValue
The TechNorValue project, funded by the Norte2020 programme, promoted by Porto Business School and UPTEC, aimed to promote innovation and the knowledge economy in the North region through the introduction of market, technology and knowledge organisation elements between Universities, Startups and SMEs. The project aimed to overcome existing barriers in the process of scientific knowledge transfer through the economic valuation of technology and repositioning of startups.

PME BeGlobal
The PME BeGlobal project, funded by the Norte2020 programme, aimed to increase the exporting potential of SMEs in the North of Portugal, having as main target audience the companies already expressing themselves in terms of International Turnover (below 50% in relation to the total turnover) and whose intervention and empowerment may have an effective impact on the increase of turnover and market diversification.

The NEXTGENE project, funded by the Norte2020 programme, aimed to develop a set of integrated and mutually complementary actions, with the objective of promoting a capacity-building programme for SMEs for business succession, thus facilitating the process of value transfer between generations, contributing to the construction and consolidation of a more dynamic, innovative and robust business fabric in the North of Portugal.
