With sustainability at the forefront of global concerns, companies are increasingly recognizing their responsibility to adopt practices that respect both the environment and human rights. In response, GRACE and BCSD, in partnership with Porto Business School, present the ODS Masterclass — designed to deepen participants' understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their integration into business strategy. This masterclass offers a unique opportunity for professionals looking to align their business practices with the sustainability principles that will shape the future market.
The ODS Masterclass is structured into two sessions. The first, an online session, will take place on October 22 from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm. The second, an in-person session at the Porto Business School facilities, will be held on October 23 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, with lunch included.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serve as the foundation of a modern, balanced society—promoting employment and wealth while respecting both nature and human rights. This masterclass aims to empower companies to embed the SDGs into their strategies and management practices, highlighting their role as a global framework for shaping, guiding, communicating, and monitoring business objectives.
Throughout the course, participants will explore the fundamentals and historical context of the SDGs, examining how their integration can positively impact business strategy. Key tools, such as the SDG Compass, will be introduced, along with discussions on current trends in SDG reporting. Additionally, the session will feature case studies from companies that have successfully implemented the SDGs in their operations, providing practical and inspiring insights.
