In the Final Stretch of the MBA, Skill and Practice Come Together
In the MBA programs at Porto Business School, our students embark on their ultimate challenge: the Capstone Projects. These projects are the summit of months of intensive learning in key management areas such as strategy, logistics, marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship.
Multicultural and Joint Ventures
Teaming up with 17 companies, including associate partners as Cerealis, Super Bock Group, Galp and Mota-Engil, our students tackled actual business challenges. Guided by PBS professors and industry experts, these projects ensure a blend of academic knowledge and practical insight.
In the Executive MBA, 14 projects were assigned, featuring 7 entrepreneurial initiatives like Finspire, Get Energy, Hale-T, and Matter. The Dual Degree Programme, in partnership with Kozminsky University in Poland, also contributed to these dynamic projects.
The International MBA, known for its multicultural approach, developed 14 projects, including internships at Mota-Engil and Borg Warner, as well as entrepreneurial ventures such as Prometheus Fire and Lovacore.
The Digital MBA undertook 6 innovative projects, with partner companies and an entrepreneurial attitude, making significant contributions in technology, healthcare and non-profit sectors.
Impact and Innovation
From the entrepreneurial projects, around 9 new brands emerged, prepared to deliver innovative solutions. All the organizations involved received in-depth analyses and impactful recommendations, often on an equal basis with specialist consultancies.
For our MBA students, this was an opportunity to apply their learning practically, refining their skills and preparing for future challenges.
The Capstone Projects are more than just a course requirement. They are a testament to our students' ability to innovate and solve real-world issues, shaping leaders ready to leave their mark on the business world.
