The Porto Business School International MBA team won 2nd place in the John Molson International Case Competition, promoted by a team of MBA students from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
The John Molson International Case Competition, which took place between January 2nd and 8th, in online format, it is a global competition open to the best business schools recognised as the biggest competition in this category. This competition assumes the purpose of bridging the gap between the corporate and academic worlds.
This competition has a “round-robin” format, composed by seven unpublished business cases selected among the best entries from the annual Case Writing Competition.
The International MBA team, formed by Alex Ghinescu, Luís Sousa Martins, Sarah Horacek and Tiago Ling and unconditionally supported by the Programme Director and Teacher Renata Blanc, conquered the 2nd place in a very heated final.
The 2022 edition of John Molson International Case Competition gathered 30 teams in a virtual stage in front of a global audience, with the support of 250 judges, 100 volunteers, and 26 sponsors and donors.
John Molson Business School welcomed the 40th edition of the International Case Competition, the oldest, largest, and most prestigious competition of its type, which is entirely organized by students.
The six-days competition brings together students from around the world, aiming to analysing business cases and presenting recommendations to a judge panel composed by executives and leaders.
Worldwide recognised, this competition gives more than 200 of the best business students the opportunity to test their analytical and consulting skills; to interact with their international peers and executive leaders.
