Celebrating Excellence and Academic Achievement at Porto Business School
On October 30th, Porto Business School held a graduation ceremony for students who embarked on their academic journey in 2023, bringing together students and faculty to celebrate this major milestone. The event honored the dedication and achievements of the graduates, who now become part of our distinguished Alumni community.
The ceremony began with a heartfelt message from Pedro Alves Costa, Vice-Rector of the University of Porto, who shared the University’s pride in witnessing its students reach this important milestone.
José Esteves, Dean of Porto Business School, followed with words of encouragement, emphasizing the value of a disruptive mindset and a commitment to excellence. He inspired graduates to embrace the mission to “make change happen,” now strengthened by their solid academic foundation.
Each graduate was called to the stage to receive their diploma and was congratulated by their Program Directors. In each class, merit awards were presented to top students, and outstanding faculty, as voted by students, were also recognized. These awards celebrated not only exceptional academic performance but also the dedication and commitment of faculty throughout the journey.
The recipients of the merit awards for highest academic achievement included Pedro Tavares, Patrícia Oliveira, Manuel Alves, José Carneiro, Inês Neves, Rita Alexandre, Maria Peixoto, José Fernandes, Bárbara Marafona, Hermana Noronha, and Isabel Silva.
To close this memorable event, the participants were invited to a celebratory cocktail where students, faculty, and program directors gathered to share memories, celebrate, and strengthen the bonds within our community.
