The new Executive Masters in Data Science, Business Analytics and AI and Data Science, Business Intelligence and AI form the foundation of the Data-Driven Business Collection, the new integrated executive training offering in Data Science and Engineering (DSE) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) from Porto Business School.
This new set of programs builds on the success of the postgraduate program in Business Intelligence & Analytics, the first executive program in the DSE/AI field in Portugal, which, on its 10th anniversary, adapts to the natural evolution of the market and, more importantly, prepares the data-driven future of organizations and their human resources.
With the new programs, students acquire skills to create or deepen data-driven businesses, using DSE/AI techniques (including Business Intelligence, Analytics, and generative Artificial Intelligence – GenAI) to analyze business data and support decision-making at any level of organizational management (from operational to strategic).
To enable the extraction of actionable insights from large volumes of data, students will gain experience with the various tools and technologies used for this purpose. They will also acquire the fundamental concepts that will allow them to use these tools rigorously and effectively, which is the only way to ensure that the results obtained truly support the improvement of decision-making processes and organizational performance.
The programs offered present a common first trimester that provides a general introduction to the two types of approaches, which are then deepened in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters, separately in each program.
In the Executive Master in Data Science, Business Analytics and AI, the specialization focuses on the fundamentals of data science and business analytics, based on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence techniques, focusing on practical data analysis to identify patterns and make predictions using statistics and machine learning.
In turn, the Executive Master in Data Science, Business Intelligence and AI specialization focuses on developing practical skills for data collection, integration, and presentation to generate reports and dashboards that monitor historical performance, using AI tools and developing knowledge in data warehousing and data management. In both programs, the knowledge acquired in the various disciplines is then consolidated in practical projects in collaboration with companies.
With these two new initiatives, Porto Business School thus aims to consolidate its leadership position in executive training in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, equipping professionals with the knowledge to face market challenges and drive innovation in their organizations.
