My journey at the Porto Business School, specifically in the Leadership Check-In program, exceeded all my expectations, profoundly transforming not only my view on leadership but also my practical skills in this domain. Sharing experiences with colleagues and professors in a stimulating and innovative environment provided me with a multidimensional perspective on the challenges and strategies of leadership.
From the first day, I was immersed in a dynamic learning ecosystem, where the intensive exchange of knowledge among participants and teachers was the norm. This rich and constant interaction was catalyzed by the diversity of experiences and perspectives of those involved, significantly enriching my learning process and enabling me to approach complex leadership issues from different angles.
The program’s practical and results-oriented approach, moving away from purely theoretical methodologies and abstract concepts, challenged me to put the acquired knowledge into practice. The classroom became a stage for vibrant debate and collective discovery, where the analysis of case studies and the resolution of practical exercises fostered a permanent and fruitful interaction between students and teachers.
I highlight the exceptional quality of the teaching staff, professionals of excellence whose ability to transmit knowledge effectively and empathetically established an invaluable trust and commitment. Their capacity to provoke reflection on leadership practice was fundamental for my personal and professional development.
The program covered a broad and relevant range of topics, from the cycle of people management to effective leadership strategies, preparing us for the future with a growth and resilience mindset. The relevance of feedback as a tool for change and the importance of management principles, performance, financial aspects, and labor legislation were other topics addressed.
Besides the academic quality, the experience was enriched by the state-of-the-art facilities of PBS, which promote an inclusive and technologically advanced learning environment. The attentive and personalized administrative support of Porto Business School was another essential pillar, ensuring a flawless experience from the start.
In the context of public administration, where I perform my duties, applying this knowledge has been a lever to promote the necessary change in leadership practices. The initial feeling of being an atypical student quickly dissipated, giving way to a sense of belonging to a diverse and committed professional community.
In conclusion, my participation in this program was a truly enriching experience, from which I not only gained renewed knowledge and skills but also valuable human connections and a reinforced desire to continue learning at this School. A sincere thank you to Porto Business School for this transformative journey! Today, I am a better leader.
