Jorge Silva Martins
Jorge Silva Martins heads the Technology, Data and Digital Innovation practice at “CS Associados” law firm.
With more than 15 years of experience, and a strong background on highly regulated sectors, he advises domestic and international clients on legal, policy and business issues relating to electronic communications, internet law, intellectual property, data protection and cybersecurity.
He has also been providing thorough strategic and practical counselling to companies in a diverse range of new and emerging industries, including AI, machine learning, fintech, blockchain gaming, smart contracts, NFTs, metaverses, IoT, and other new technologies. Graduated in Law from the University of Lisbon School of Law, Jorge has a Master´s Degree from the same institution and a second Master´s Degree from the New York University (NYU). He also attended an International Professional Summer Program on Technology and IP at Stanford Law School.
He is also the author of several articles in the field of technology, and a regular speaker at industry and academic conferences and presentations. Jorge is Vice-President of the Board of ACEPI – Digital Economy Association and member of the Board of ARBITRARE (an institutionalized Arbitration Centre competent to resolve disputes in matters of Industrial Property, Domain Names, Trade Names and Corporate Names).
