Joana Abreu
Joana da Mota de Abreu holds a master's degree in Social Psychology from the University of Bordeaux. She has focused her research on the Psychology of Commitment and the Social Psychology of the Environment.
She specialised in Sustainable Development and is certified by the SDG Academy of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). She has been a researcher at CESOP-Local, the Applied Research Unit of the Centre for Studies and Opinion Polls at the Portuguese Catholic University, since 2017. Since 2022, she has been the Coordinator of the CESOP-Local Network for Sustainable Territories at the Portuguese Catholic University.
She is co-author of the methodology and annual development of the Municipal Sustainability Index and co-author of the report ‘Monitoring the SDGs in the Centro region, Portugal’, Joint Research Centre (European Commission).
