Proficient at leading sustainability endeavours across diverse sectors within private, public, and intergovernmental spheres, Ana has solidified her reputation as a trusted advisor and innovative problem-solver. Recognised internationally, she is sought after as a speaker on pivotal sustainability issues.
Currently, Ana holds the role of Programme Leader for Circular Economy and Sustainable Strategies as well as Skills for the Green Transition courses at Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Her influence extends to collaboration with a digital marketplace in the Netherlands and as an external advisor and transformational leader for other organisations.
In her previous role as Lead Built Environment for the EMEA region at Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, Ana was accountable for driving outreach, education, and policy development for Cradle to Cradle Certification adoption among product manufacturers and the broader built environment stakeholder community. Her expertise lies in providing technical leadership for numerous projects, applying circular economy principles, and guiding strategic decision-making processes.
In the past she worked as a Managing Consultant in sustainability and circular economy at ICF consulting, providing technical leadership for several governmental projects; and previously worked as a Senior Sustainability Consultant at BRE, a UK multi-disciplinary organization focused on standard setting for built environment, and as an environmental engineer in a major engineering company in Portugal.
Ana holds a postgraduate diploma in Circular Economy from the University of Exeter Business School, a Master of Engineering in Resources Efficiency and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering. She is also a chartered environmentalist in the UK and a recognised European Professional Engineer.
