Filipa Gomes
Filipa Gomes is a Chemical Engineer by training and an Agile Coach and Scrum Master by passion. She holds a PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) from the University of Cambridge.
Filipa has worked as a simulation engineer in the oil and gas industry for eight years, where she successfully applied CFD methodologies to optimise complex processes and enhance operational
efficiency. She was first exposed to agile methodologies in 2017 when she was taking a break from work on maternity leave for the first time. Recognising the power of Agile and Scrum,
Filipa kept on deepening her knowledge and experience in the field with training courses and by applying these methodologies to her work. By 2022, Filipa transitioned from the oil and gas to the
world of renewable energy first as a Scrum Master and later as an Enterprise Agile Coach at Vestas. As a certified Scrum Master by Scrum Alliance and a registered Scrum at Scale practitioner by Scrum Inc., Filipa is dedicated to leading
cross-functional teams through agile transformations. With a firm belief in fostering effective communication, empowering teams, and removing obstacles, she creates an environment that
enables high-quality solution delivery and collective success. Filipa is driven by a deep sense of purpose and a desire to make a positive impact in the world.
