Nuno Brás
Nuno Brás is an experienced data scientist and entrepreneur with a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Licentiate degree in Physics Engineering, both IST. He has over 20 years of experience in data analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence.
He is the co-founder and senior data scientist at DareData Engineering, where he is responsible for business development and pre-sales strategy. He has also worked as a lead technical mentor at the Data Science for Social Good Foundation, a full-stack software developer at Toptal, and a part-time data science instructor at the Lisbon Data Science Academy.
Nuno has taught courses on big data, business intelligence, decision support systems, and database applications at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and the University of Évora and as post-grad in IST. He was the co-founder and CEO of LMIT - Innovation & Technology, a SaaS data analytics and BI company for energy management. Recently, LMIT was acquired by Sonae Sierra.
Nuno has worked across various industries, including insurance, telecoms, food and beverages, and automotive. He is a dynamic speaker with insights into the world of data science and entrepreneurship.
