Daniel Costa
Dr. Daniel G. Costa is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC), Faculty of Engineering (FEUP), University of Porto, Portugal. He is an author or co-author of more than 100 international scientific papers in prestigious journals and conferences, covering research topics in the areas of Smart Cities, Internet of Things, Sensor Networks, Embedded Systems and Multimedia Sensing. Prof. Daniel has also participated in a dozen of scientific projects and received important grants in both Brazil and Portugal. Currently, his research interests are focused on new complex subjects for the construction of more sustainable and resilient smart cities, with special concern to emergencies management, efficient transportation, and urban communication infrastructures.
