Diogo Lopes
I was born in Lisbon in 1978. Family influence, and particularly the trips to the village where my grandfather used to live, somewhere between the Beira Alta and Beira Baixa, left me interested in agriculture. It was unavoidable. I took a degree in Agronomy and became a winemaker. After several winery internships in the main Portuguese regions and Napa Valley, California, I started working in 2005 in the Alentejo, hand in hand with a great friend and a reference in Portuguese winemaking: Anselmo Mendes. With every harvest, new challenges and projects rose. Somewhere along the Alentejo, the Vinhos Verdes region, the Azores or Lisbon, wine became an incredible journey. It became my life.
