Filipa Saldanha
I am an economist who strongly believes that companies play a decisive role in redefining our growth and capitalism model; one that fully integrates for-profit success, environmental protection and social well-being. Currently Deputy Director of the Sustainable Development Gulbenkian Program, my specialties include the topics of sustainable management strategies/business models, entrepreneurship and innovation, sustainability planning and reporting, economic valuation of nature, circular (bio)economy, green and blue economy, climate change and renewable energies. During my 14+ year career, I have worked and been closely engaged with multiple stakeholders from business, academic and non-profit sectors as well as national and European public institutions. This broadening my vision, consolidated my knowledge and strengthen my institutional relations skills. I am a former high-level competition athlete, a hard worker by nature and a goal-oriented person with a noticeable strategic thinking. I am also a continuous learner who is constantly looking for the most efficient way to deliver positive high impact solutions in environmental and business areas.
