João Loureiro
Degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of University of Porto,FEP (1983) and a PhD in Economics from Gothenburg University, Sweden, with a specialisation in International Macroeconomics and Finance (1992). Associate Professor at FEP. He lectures in the field of Macroeconomic Policy and Theory, an area in which he has several publications, including the books "Monetary Policy in the European Monetary System", "Euro: Análise Macroeconómica" ("Euro: A Macroeconomic Analysis"), and "Política Orçamental na área do Euro" ("Fiscal Policy in the Euro Area"). Consultant of the Portuguese Ministry of Finance for Performance-informed Budgeting (2007-08) and Consultant for the exchange rate regime of Cape Verde (2008). Member of the Working Group that has designed the Statutes of the Portuguese Fiscal Council (2011). Researcher at Center for Economics and Finance at UP. Member of the General Council of EGP-UPBS (2008-2011 and 2019-...). Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Banco Millenniumbcp (2009-2018). Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Banco CTT (2019-...).
