Eduarda Rodrigues
Dr. Eduarda Mendes Rodrigues is currently leading the data science team at giffgaff, UK. She was previously the AI/ML Research Manager at Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe, working on applied machine learning / deep learning methods for several applications including time series analysis, social analytics, quality control, among others. Prior to that, she worked for over 3 years in academia as an Assistant Professor of Informatics Engineering at the University of Porto, where she led a research team in the areas of text mining and social computing. Her research in the area computational social science and her activities as a founding member of the Social Media Research Foundation have led to significant contributions to open tools, open data and open scholarship in this area. Dr. Mendes Rodrigues' prior experience in R&D includes over 3 years post-doc and consultancy positions at Microsoft Research Cambridge and a research fellowship at University College London (UCL). She holds a PhD in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from UCL and a first degree in Electrical Engineering and Computing from the University of Porto.
