Gustavo Mendes
PhD and Degree in Psychology by the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto. MBA in Business Management and Post-Graduation in Entrepreneurship by Porto Business School. With over 17 years of experience in strategic and operational marketing, communication and brand management, he is currently founder and Brand Strategy Director at Ichika Brand Consulting and Postdoctoral fellow at School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto. He is also a guest lecturer at Porto Business School. Previously, he was Customer Management Area Cordinator at Universo (Sonae/Bankinter) where he led the “Customer Strategy and Insights” and “Campaign Intelligence” teams. He was Corporate Marketing Director at Grupo Primor, managing Primor – Charcutaria Prima and ICM Meat Solutions Brands in national and international markets. He was also Marketing Director at NewCoffee Group, with responsibility for managing the brand portfolio, including Lavazza, Bogani, Sanzala, Caffècel, A Caféeira and Novo Dia. He was also Brand Manager at the Ibersol Group, with direct management of brands such as Pizza Hut, Pans & Company and Pasta Caffé. Previously, he was Co-founder and Marketing Manager of Neoscopio: Open Source Solutions, a spin-off company of the University of Porto. He was also a marketing consultant at QSP Marketing, guest lecturer in the M.Sc. in Psychology and a clinical psychologist at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto.
